Through the Social Justice Committee, UUFE is involved in numerous projects aimed at promoting social justice in the community and in the world at large.

Through outreach collections, the Social Justice Committee supports a wide range of efforts -- from teen court to river restoration, from helping the homeless in our own back yards to reaching out to the needy in Haiti. Each recipient group is cerfully scrutinized to ensure that our funds will make a difference in the lives of needy people.

Through outreach and special collectiouns, the committee's small annual budget, and the efforts of our volunteers, we support numerous social causes with our funds, our energy, and our hearts.

Our next Outreach Collection will support Teen Court

The purpose of Teen Court is to provide legal process for juveniles outside of the criminal justice system. The program provides opportunities for pro-social activities and social restitution in the community to steer youth away from the streets and delinquent activity, and it provides referrals to services to address substance abuse as well as mental health or educational needs.
