UUFE Members in Action

Talbot Interfaith Shelter

Lisa Menditch has been a driving force in winning UUFE's participation in the new Talbot Interfaith Shelter project -- an effort of five local churches volunteering to house five homeless people during the coldest part of this winter. Emily and Todd Cranwell are coordinating volunteers for the week that UUFE will be sheltering our homeless guests.

Green Jobs Now

UUFE members Ken Court, Maggie Garey, Eric A. Stocker and Sandra Henry-Stocker were instrumental in setting up a Green Jobs Now event earlier this year. The new Mayor of Cambridge, Victoria Jackson-Stanley, and our new US Congressman (then candidate) Frank Kratovil spoke at the event held at Spocott Mill, the only remaining operational grain mill in Maryland.

Winterization & Habitat for Humanity

Jim Richardson and our past minister Rev. Dan Higgins have been active participants in this years Winterization Project. Dan Higgins is also ... Habitat for Humanity.
