Introducing Anne Pogue
It’s rare to see Anne Pogue without a smile. And when you meet her and hear her quick laugh, it’s easy for you to smile, too.
Anne and her husband, Michael, moved to Easton in 2006 from Ellicott City. Their sons were grown and thriving as attorneys, so it was time to enjoy a slower pace of life. They have settled into Easton nicely. Michael kept his job as a research entomologist with the US Dept. of Agriculture at the National History Museum in D.C. and Anne found employment with the Center for Integrative Medicine here in town. She had been a member of a small UU congregation in Ellicott City and has found UUFE friendlier and more welcoming than she expected. Moreover, she has been impressed by the quality of our lay leaders’ presentations. And Gabi’s, too!
Anne grew up in Maryland and received her college and graduate education here. Her years as a health teacher in middle school and her passion for holistic health led her to a more hands-on career. She operated a massage therapy practice from her home for 15 years and has taught yoga part time for 40 years. She now teaches yoga at the YMCA. At the Center for Integrative Medicine she treats clients using reflexology and presents workshops on various aspects of spiritual awareness and holistic health.
When she has time for herself, Anne enjoys reading, walking and gardening (perennials only, she says). There are many family obligations requiring Anne’s attention at this time, so we won’t see her frequently. It will be worth your time to talk with her when she is with us. We are so pleased that she has joined our Fellowship
