Children's Programs

Welcome to UUFE Children’s and Youth Programming! We are excited that you have come to our site and we hope to meet you on Sunday morning. On this page you will find links to all of the programming at UUFE related to Children and Youth. All of our programming strives to foster creativity, connections to humanity, increased knowledge and self-esteem, and a sense of wonder.

Most Sundays the children begin with the congregation for the first fifteen minutes -- to share the chalice lighting and welcome, a hymn, and a “Thought for All Ages” from the Minister or Coordinator of Religious Education. Then the congregation sings the children to their classrooms where they will have approximately forty-five minutes of programming specific to their age group. Babies and toddlers are welcome to do the same or they may spend the entire morning in the Playroom with one of our volunteers.

Coordinator, Religious Education for Children & Youth:

Elizabeth Hausburg, or Ms Liz

Ms. Liz has been our Coordinator of Religious Education since 2007. Liz has a background in education and currently is a middle school teacher. The most important thing to know about Liz is that kids love to be with Liz. When Liz speaks, kids listen. The adults in the congregation also enjoy her often humorous "Thoughts for All Ages" time during the worship service. Liz is a co-leader for our youth group that meets on the first Friday of every month. Our Children and Youth Religious Education program thrives thanks to Liz and our many committed volunteers.
